stuck in recovery mode

My phone battery died and when I tried to recharge the phone came up with support.apple.com/phone/restore. I connect to iTunes it started to update and then it says cannot update as phone not found.

I have tried to reboot apple icon shows up and then goes back to iTunes recovery mode.
