Photos not working on new MacBook Pro

Photos does not open: Error message -

An unexpected error has occurred. Please quit and restart the application.

This problem has not resolved with opening in safe mode or reinstall.

  Model Name: MacBook Pro

  Model Identifier: MacBookPro14,3

  Processor Name: Intel Core i7

  Processor Speed: 2.9 GHz

  Number of Processors: 1

  Total Number of Cores: 4

  L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

  L3 Cache: 8 MB

  • First of all, make a copy of your Photo-library (you'll find the library in the folder Pictures in Finder)
  • Make sure the app Photos has stopped completely (no dot under the icon in the dock)
  • Restart Photos while clicking on Option + Command
  • The window 'Repair library' appears. Click on Repair and fill in your account password
  • It could take a long time (depends on the size of your library)
