Can I use a USB hub with CarPlay?

I just bought a car that uses CarPlay, but there is only one USB plug-in. I need more plug-ins. If I use a USB hub will CarPlay still work?

Apple Carplay So I just bought a new car and I have been trying to set up apple carplay. I had someone try the anddoid auto and it worked right away but for some reason when i plug in my cord, it says that i need to plug in a usb. When Iplug it in, it charges my phone and plays music, but won’t connect to my car through usb in order to connect and my car won’t even pop up on my phone. I know it doesn’t have anything to do with the actual usb port in my car because android auto worked

Non Compatibility of Side Car for Macbook Pro 2015 is there any way that i can use side car with my ipad pro 11inch 2020 with my current macbook pro 2015 which i know is not supported currently... is there any way around it? or do i need to purchase 3rd party softwares? Thank you.

Probably not, unless the hub has its own power source. Are you sure there is only one USB port? Most new cars over the past few years have 2 or more.
