iCloud Keychain - Cannot Delete Entries!

Hello,

I have iCloud Keychain setup and have been using it successfully for a while.

I noticed two entries at the bottom of the list with a missing "Website" field. It is just blank. They both have my username and each of them had an older password I'd used.

On Safari on my Mac I selected each entry and click on "Remove". At which point they do disappear. But within less than a minute when I'm back in the Password viewer in Safari, they're both back. I tried removing them from my iPad and iPhone's Settings - Accounts & Passwords. Same thing, once I click remove they go, but then they re-appear.

Then I just removed all of my passwords by Selecting All and Remove on my Mac and low and behold, the only two that re-appear are those two that don't have a website attached to the entry. I did the same on my iPhone and iPad and those same two still re-appear.

Finally, I just completed turn off iCloud Keychain on all 3 devices, restarted them and then turned it back on and those two **** entries are the only ones that pop right back.

Is this a known issue? What can I do to completely clear my iCloud Keychain on the Server? Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks,

Nick

I found the solution after a many hours of searching.

The problem is a known one with iCloud Keychain. If an iCloud Keychain entry is saved without the "Website" field filled in, the iCloud Keychain entry will NOT delete from your iCloud Keychain on any of your devices by simply selecting the entry and deleting or removing it. Doesn't matter if you do that through Safari on your Mac or on your iPhone or iPad's Setting - Passwords & Accounts.

The only solution to this is having access to a mac that is signed in with your iCloud account. Then opening an application called "Keychain Access". For those who are not familiar with macOS, this has nothing to do with iCloud or iCloud Keychain, it is a native mac application that manages all of your passwords and certificates and sensitive communication data. Once the application has launched, on the lefthand side near under "Keychains" select "iCloud" and find the entries with a blue icon without a name that match the passwords you cannot delete in iCloud Keychain. Select them and hit the "Delete" button. It will prompt you if you really want to delete them. Confirm and it's done.
