App won't update

My GoodNotes 5 app won't update on my iPad. Many other apps have updated before and since this update became available but each time I click update on GN5 it gives me the spinning circle for a second then goes right back to saying update again.

Good Notes 5 is only available to iPads that can upgrade/update and run iOS 12 and later, now.

You own a nearly 8-year old iPad 2 ( 2nd generation ) that cannot upgrade/update its iOS beyond iOS 9.3.5.

This is why you cannot get GoodNotes 5.

GoodNotes 4 is the app that still compatible with your iPad model and, currently, its developer is still supporting the older version.


If you need the latest and newest apps that have moved to newer minimum iOS versions, you will need to purchase a new Apple iPad, a discounted, refurbished iPad from the Refurbished & Clearance section of the Apple Website, or a much newer, used iPad from another Apple authorised, trusted reseller, locally or online.

Stay away from eBay for used Apple iPads to minimise the risk of purchasing a useless, Activation Locked iPad.
