Disable scroll between websites in Safari Reading List

I use the Safari Reading List because of how convenient it is to add a website to it and to access the list.

One thing that is driving me nuts though is that if you scroll over the bottom of a website that you opened from the list, Apple for no apparent reason thinks that you want the see the website that is below the one you just viewed in the list.

This is aseptically annoying if you try to find some text toward the end of a longer website or if you try to scroll back to the top of a longer website.

Is there any possibility to disable this feature?

As far as I’m aware there is no user option to disable this behaviour.

Workarounds:

1. Open in a new tab or window. Control-click a page summary in the Reading List sidebar, then choose either Open in New Tab or Open in New Window.

2. Use the keyboard or scroll bars for webpage navigation. Use of either method with prevent transition to the next Reading List page. Useful webpage navigation keyboard shortcuts:

Scroll up, down Up Arrow, Down Arrow.

Scroll in larger increments Option + Up or Down Arrow.

Scroll down a screen Page Down or Space bar.

Scroll up a screen Page Up or Shift + Space bar

Scroll to page top Command + Up Arrow or Home

Scroll to page bottom Command + Down Arrow or End
