Hi,
I have been trying to get my iPhone X into DFU mode for the past 30 minutes, and nothing I try seems to want to work. I have looked up many different tutorials and such on the various button combinations on how to enter DFU mode, but nothing works.
This is rather frustrating because this is such a simple process to do if it would work.
Can someone provide any feedback?

You must count the seconds. Watch a clock with a second hand. Even a hair over 10 seconds will cause the phone to reboot rather than go into DFU mode. Try releasing even a second early, while the screen is still black. If anything appears on the screen you have held too long.

Exactly which site are you finding the directions to enter DFU mode?
Exactly what happens including any error message when you follow these procedures?
Can you put it in Recovery mode? Why are you needing to put it in DFU mode? Is the iPhone working normally other than this?
I have tried multiple different sites as well as multiple different videos on YouTube.
When I follow these procedures, my phone just restarts normally, regardless if I am using the phone-off method or phone-on method.
I can't even get to the 10 second mark before the phone is already booted back on.
I used a stopwatch, exactly 3 seconds (apple logo turns on at like 1-2 seconds in), then held the volume down, got like 6-8 seconds in, and it was already booted back on.
Lawrence Finch, I just tried that site out, my phone just simply restarts and turns on normally when I am on step 4/5. Literally following the procedure to a T....
