Spectrum Cable support claims Apple TV to blame for problems
Recommended direct connection to their modem and start software update. Found that ‘Automatically Update’ was ‘On’. Clicked on ‘Update Software’ and watched rotating circle for 90 minutes before starting to wonder and search online for similar experiences. Apple TV went to screensaver several times and even turned itself off — clicked once to bring it back on and saw same status. Advice from 2013 (most recent discussion) was to leave it go until completion - perhaps overnight. Any new opinions. Trying hard to resist/prevent bricking by unplugging power.
