iPhone XR rear camera poor quality, zoom problems, fuzzy image

Whenever I go to use my rear camera of my IPhone XR, it is TERRIBLE quality. When zoomed in, everything is fuzzy. When trying to take a picture of a close object that has words on it, the photo is so bad that you can't even determine what the words a say. At first I thought was a glitch or something, but no. I have friends with the same phone and when I compared the rear cameras, I realized that I had a huge problem. I only hear people discussing the front camera, but that isn't my problem. It's my rear. I never had this problem with my 8 Plus. I ALSO DO NOT HAVE A CASE OVER THE CAMERA. I am so displeased with this and wish someone will tell whats wrong with my phone!! I also told the T-Mobile store that I got the phone from. They told me to check with Apple on this topic. I will attach photos for reference. One while regular distance, and one while zoomed in.
