Mac - Not enough disk space or memory to display/print

I downloaded a 1.5mb word doc (from email) which contained a graphic. I received the message "not enough disk space or memory to display or print picture". I have around 46gb free on my hard disk. The remainder of the document appeared properly with a blank space where the graphic should be

Same thing on my ipad, but the document appears complete on my iphone 5c.

I forwarded the email to my partner who downloaded and printed it on her windows machine without difficulty.

I'm a little confused - can anyone help?

Thanks

Ian

Evening Old Toad,

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried saving the file to folders as you suggested. All thumbnails show the graphic, but on opening the file the text is present but the graphic is missing and the error message above re memory/disk space appears.

I have read/write permissions for all folders.

This is not a problem I have encountered before!

Not a huge issue for this file, but a worry!

Thanks again

Ian
