I can't get my me.com email on a Windows computer via Outlook because it won't take my password.
I was using the appleid password that works fine and gives me access to iCloud and to my me.com email in the browser.
I reset the appleid password but it doesn't help accessing the email via Outlook.
How can I reset the email password?

You need to enable 2 Factor Authentication on your Apple ID and create an app specific password to use. If your account won’t allow 2 Factor Authentication, try 2 step verification.

Let me clarify my question.
My email used to work fine without any special handling. But now I'm rebuilding my PC and, embarrassingly, can't find the password in my password manager.

You are welcome. Apple made a change that requires an app specific password when using your iCloud email address with a 3rd party email program.

I set up two-step verification and created new password for Outlook.
Now I can get my email :)
