Apple ID and me.com email passwords are different

I can't get my me.com email on a Windows computer via Outlook because it won't take my password.

I was using the appleid password that works fine and gives me access to iCloud and to my me.com email in the browser.

I reset the appleid password but it doesn't help accessing the email via Outlook.

How can I reset the email password?

You need to enable 2 Factor Authentication on your Apple ID and create an app specific password to use. If your account won’t allow 2 Factor Authentication, try 2 step verification.
