MacBook Pro Pixelated Screen Upon Start up

Occasionally, when I open my computer and it starts up, the screen appears like a broken tv screen. After awhile my mouse starts moving again, so I can restart it, and it goes back to normal. Cannot afford to buy a new Mac but I am worried this is a sign it is about to die. Worried!!

Has anyone else had this happen?

Or know what causes this to occur??

It is a sign of failing GPU or bad cable, or bad cable connection, or LCD/LED

It probably is not going to get better only worse. If it is GPU, and if this Mac has two graphics card you may be able to force it to use the good card.
