How to unhide an SMS message that was hidden using the swipe left action.
in Messages, after I swipe a message to left, and click "hide", is there a way to unhide it? - I'm not able to receive any SMS from people I hid.

The options when you swipe are Delete and "Hide Alerts".
Hide Alerts does not prevent you from getting messages from those people, it only suppresses the notification. Look in your messages. Find the message thread. Swipe left. If you have hidden the notifications you will have the option to "Show Alerts" instead of hide.
