exporting an imovie to usb

I am new to the Macworld being a PC user for many years. Recently I created an iMovie slideshow with music for a class reunion. Many of us "old timers" want the slideshow on a dvd. I am new to the Macworld so this is my question:

After I create the slideshow in iMovie can I export it to a usb to be taken to a place such as Walgreens to be turned into a DVD? I realize that using iTunes or you tube is the way to go but my classmates would rather have a DVD to slide into the machine to watch on the t.v.

Is there an easier way? My MacBook does not have a DVD drive. You will have to dumb down the explanation as I am just learning to use my MacBook.

MacBook, macOS 10.13

Walgreens has a 3rd party company that does their DVD transfers, I don't know if this is strictly VHS to DVD or other formats.

iMovie will export a number of different Video formats, many of which are shared between Windows and macOS so regardless of Mac/PC you should be able to use the project you are working on as long as the company that makes the DVD uses it as well. You'd need to verify with them.

Wallmart allows this as well

using quicktime format from iMovie

so yes, you could save your iMovie file in a format that Walmart or Walgreens can use to a USB drive and likely walk in there and do that with nothing more than the drive.

if you are unfamiliar with using a USB drive on a Mac see this video
