com.apple.smb.server.plist reboot issues?

Hello,

I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6 and had problems connecting to the internet when I knew other devices were working fine. I ended up reinstalling the system and it worked for a while and happened again. I knew I hadn't installed very may apps so I finally narrowed it down to being able to delete the "com.apple.smb.server.plist" and restarting if it happens again. But this is a hassle. Is there some way to avoid having to do this? And why is it corrupting semi-frequently? I've never had this problem before with any other iOS.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.13

If you can't mount SMB share hosted by a Mac bound ... - Apple Support

Turn off packet signing for SMB 2 and SMB 3 connections - Apple ..

Not exactly clear your issue—Adding the two lines

    <key>SigningRequired</key>
    <false/>

to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.smb.server.plist and restarting the server (or switching SMB sharing off and on again) re-enables connectivity.
