Recents folder on Mac
My Recents folder shows files opened, as far back as, a year ago. Is it possible to change the settings for the folder Recents, to show files opened a month or a week ago instead?
thank you in advance!

You don't have control over what is shown in "Recents". As it turns out, "Recents" is really an application embedded in the Finder itself, not a smart folder, as one might have suspected.
The easy solution is to create your own smart folder.
In the Finder, press command-F; then fill it in like this (for example, for the last week):
Then save this by clicking the Save button. Give a descriptive name, and choose to keep this in the Sidebar, for easy access:
In Sys Prefs>General at the bottom you can set how many are remembered, I'm thinking you could set it to zero, close the pref pane, open it again & set a number that you like... for a fresh start.
