Your password is encrypted and cannot be read by apple

When I downloaded the new OS Mojave I got prompted to enter the password I use to unlock MacBookPro to enter iCloud. A lot of the folders are not downloaded yet and has an iCloud download logo next to it. When I enter the password, it says:" Your password is encrypted and cannot be read by apple"

I tried entering the password a few more times, and it says enter the password for Old MacBook Pro xx 1180. I have no idea what they are saying and what the password is. Help.

iCloud is expecting the password for "Old MacBook Pro xx 1180". If you do know what it is, please refer to the applicable Apple Support documents below.

For your Apple ID or iCloud password: If you forgot your Apple ID password
