Pop up phishing
I am getting phishing pop ups asking me to download scanning software. How do I stop these?

If the Apple document rkaufmann87 linked you to doesn't help try downloading and running Malwarebytes. It was developed by one of our most respected contributors here in the ASC. It can identify and remove adware.
