I put parental controls on my MacBook Air when my son was using it. He's no longer using it and I'd like to take the control off but I have forgotten my administrator user name and password. Please help.

For your Mac's login password, read Reset your Mac login password.
If you are not that Mac's Administrator, find out who is. To do that open (Apple menu) > System Preferences > Users & Groups. "Admin" is shown under the names of accounts with Administrator privileges.
Thank you for your prompt reply. My problem is not logging in as a user, it's that I've forgotten the administrator login and password. I can't make any changes or any types of updates without logging in with the administrator login and password which is different from my user name and password. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
