Wall Charger of new iPad is not working

I just got a new Ipad 64GB and I observed that the wall charger adapter is not working.
I checked the cable and it is fine as it charges the iPad when connected to the computer USB and it syncs.
I also tried the wall power adapter of my iPhone and it works perfectly fine. It charges the iPad as expected.
Thus it is the iPad power adapter.
Anyone with this issue?

iPad 64GB, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

It appears to be a wide spread problem but I don't see Apple coming clean on it ...... Acknowledge the problem and give list of solutions and that's it !!!

Exactly the same thing! The charger only worked for 1 week. I'm charging with my iphone charger now.. Please Apple, it's about time you fix this problem..

I'm thinking that the charger has a built-in failsafe. When they heat up, they stop working. But the problem is they never cool down while plugged in. They seemt to maintain enough voltage to keep the iPad batter from losing charge, but not suppying enough to recharge it. My stops workign all the time. Letting it cool down seem to help.
