I can't share mi iMovie

Some of the videos are from my iPhone 7 Plus and every time I try to share it iMovie on my MacBook Pro Late 2011 tells me this "This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera."

I'm really in a rush to get this done and I can't find the way to do it, also, AFTER importing from my iPhone and ejecting it, it takes the imported images and video of the iMovie project.

HELP!!

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.13

That message usually means that the import never completed. Is it possible that you didn't wait long enough for the process to complete, and disconnected your iPhone too soon? If so, try reimporting and waiting longer. Also, check to make sure that your Mac has sufficient space for the imports to complete.

Or, it could be that you tried to share out while the phone is still connected after the import. If so, unplug the phone from your computer before sharing out.

If you still have difficulty, instead of importing directly into iMovie try importing to a folder on your Mac, using the Image Capture app on your Mac. Or, you can import into the Photos app, and then access the videos from the Photos items in the iMovie media side bar.
