Feature Stop Bluetooth audio auto switching

First, let me say, BT connecting and sound is really good with my iPhone, in general. But, not perfect.

I pair my iPhone to a few audio output devices: headphones, car, stereo, speakers. The iPhone automatically switching auto to new connections.

I'll describe the issue with recreate steps

  1. Connect to BT headphones
  2. Start music player, and play mp3
  3. Confirm can hear in headphones
  4. Get in and start car
  5. iPhone switched connection to car BT audio
  6. Open music player app, choose audio to go through BT headphones again
  7. Get home, connects to stereo BT, and starts playing in house
  8. Open music player app, choose audio to go through BT headphones again

Possible alternatives

  1. At 1, 5, 7, prompt and ask if I want to switch audio routing, default to No.
  2. In settings, for each pairing, provide a setting: Automatically route sound to new BT on new connection: t/f. True does it, False does not.

Auto connecting is great. But, auto switching of sound isn't. It's a potential violation of privacy, and certainly a security hole. If I was in a call, and someone started to tell me something private, and the sound suddenly routed to BT speakers, that would be anywhere from annoying to a critical problem.

If I was an Apple product manager, I would see this as a bug - missing feature.
