Why does it say that when i try to open a pic or a video from my messages?

Close the app and then go to settings>general>reset> and reset all settings to see if that fixes it. You may need to force restart the device - On an iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
