Hey there! Need some help troubleshooting my mac. The laptop is fully charged and I can tell the computer is on because I feel the fan going, but the screen is pitch black, the keyboard is not lit up, nor does the apple logo of the back of the screen turn on. I thought maybe it was the back light dimmed but when i out a flashlight against the screen, as i read other suggest, the screen is indeed blank. Any ideas?
My laptop is a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012). I tried doing a SMC reset (with a little help from my friend google) but it didn't work. I think maybe the keyboard may not be working all together? Nothing lights up, the green light for the caps lock doesn't illuminate either.
What is the exact model of your laptop? You can get this information by entering the laptop's serial number here.
Try an SMC reset & a PRAM reset.
