Costco MacBook/Air

Hi everyone,

I’m debating on whether or not to purchase a MacBook or Air from Costco at a “discounted” rate or if it’s better/safer to go with one from the Apple store. I have a MacBook from 2008 that’s still kicking but running slow and ready to upgrade. There are so many different models, they come with Apple care at a price of $200 for 2 years. Personal thoughts and feelings on this? Happy to post models numbers of the computers I’m looking at if that’s helpful. Thank you!

Compare their price to Apple's Refurbished and Clearance page.

It doesn't matter where you buy a Mac, or AppleCare for that matter. Just avoid "open box specials" because they tend to be "used" and not properly configured to be sold again. And never, ever step foot inside a Best Buy.

Sure, that's ok.
