Can Java for OSX2017-001 be used in Mojave to run Adobe CS6 suite?

I am currently using macOSHigh Sierra, my operating system is 10.13.6.

With this operating system I must use java for OSX 2017-001 to run CS6 suite.

My question is has anyone downloaded Mojave, and downloaded legacy java 6 run time

which I use now to run the programs in Adobe suite CS6? Those programs are

Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

I downloaded Mojave and found that I could not get into CS6 suite any longer and had to

go back to High Sierra in order to get into those programs.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.13

Are you absolutely certain that the problem is that you need to install Java 6?

The reason why I ask is because I am currently running Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended under Mojave 10.14.3 with Oracle's JDK 11.0.2 installed. This is the latest version of the JDK, which you can download directly from Oracle's website. As you may already know, Apple no longer supports Java, and Java 6, while still available from Apple, has been deprecated.

I did have a problem with CS6 a few days ago. I can't remember exactly what the problem was now, but once I reinstalled CS6, everything has been fine since then.

From the links provided you can Download Java for Mac OS X Recommended Version 8 Update 201

Release date January 15, 2019

For older apps like CS6 —from the same links you can also install the legacy JAVA SE6

Apple installer for Java for OS X 2015-001

When you install the Java Development Kit (JDK), the associated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed at the same time.

Adobe software older than the Creative Cloud (CC) versions are not officially supported on macOS 10.14 Mojave. That doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t work, ( reference RoaringApps Compatibility Table below ) it just means that if those old versions have any new issues related to macOS 10.14 Mojave, there won’t be any updates to address them (in other words, the only version with the Mojave fixes will be the current version).

Based on how Adobe CS3–CS6 applications have run in other recent versions of macOS, it’s safe to say that they won’t run as smoothly as they did in earlier versions of macOS/OS X.
