Java in os 9
Can I run .jar files in mac os 9? Does mac os 9 come pre-installed with java? Or do I need to download a JDK? Java JDK 1.0 does not seem to support mac os. I'm using a Power Mac 9500/120 (120 mhz).

As I recall, MRJ was the standard Java implementation on Macs back then. I used it on my Classic machines. It is still available on Macintosh Orchard, and probably elsewhere, if you can't find it here.

Don't remember if it's pre-installed - but I found this:

Thank you! This is very helpful.
You are welcome, my friend. I have a feeling you will love that site. :)
