MacOs Mojave Upgrade interruption

Hi,

I need help with my MacBook Air. I tried upgrading the OS from HighSierra to Mojave and in the course of installing the MacOS Mojave, a pop up window flashed indicating "installation interrupted by App Store". Then the "installation timer" window disappeared. Currently all apps, the appstore, system preferences etc do not open. I tried restarting the system but no response.

Can anyone help me out?

Try a restart again, if no success then Boot into Recovery (Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities> Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD. If errors are found and repaired, run again until no errors reported.

From this environment when your done with the DU you can quit, and from the utilities menu> Reinstall the macOS.
