Photo size via text message - per text option.

I'm wondering if there is an option or a workaround to choose how big or small you'd like to send a photo via text. Similar to the options you get when sending images in the email app.

I'm aware that in "Settings" I can set every photo sent by text to be reduced in quality and size but I'd like to be able to make that choice PER TEXT. This is because I often need to send full quality photos via texting for work purposes but outside of work I usually don't need anything more than screen resolution when sending photos via text.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

iPhone X, iOS 12

The issue is that I need to be able to choose file reduction PER text message. Like I said - in my job I have to send a lot of job photos via text. Some of them need to be maximum size/resolution for detail viewing. Some of them don't.

The solution you've suggested is "all or nothing". I'm looking for versatility.

Go Here: Send photos, videos, and audio messages on iPhone - Apple Support

It Reads:Your carrier determines the size limit of attachments; iPhone may compress photo and video attachments when necessary.

So, in the case of messaging (‘texting’) photos: Being restricted to data-size, compression of a file may be performed. Compression keeps the file as it is, but makes its storage size smaller, ridding of whatever data it can.

Hello Comm_User_1985, You can only change the video resolution on the iPhone. For Photos you may want to try an APP in the Apple App Store. I just looked and there is a (not free) app called Manual Camera 2 that has pretty high rating of 4.7. I have not tried this app, so I can't say if it good or not. The app does advertise what you are looking for though.
