Open Movie from Mojave's Screen Recording in Logic Pro X

Dear Sirs and Madams,

When I record my screen with Mojave's built in screen recorder (⇧⌘5) using my iMac's built in mic, I get a film that I can open in Logic Pro X to process the audio.

However, when I record using a mic through my Focusrite Clarett 4pre i get a film with left side audio, which really isn't a problem. But when I open the film in LPX the separated audio region has a surround sound symbol and I can see the waveforms, but the track is silent.

Does anyone know why this is, and what I can do about it?

It feels sad to have a poor room sound on my voice over, when I have a good mic and audio interface.

Humbly, Ylan

I have found out how I can do it.

If I select the audio region from the film (in Logic Pro X) i can use the keyboard shortcut ⌘⇧R to show the audio file in Finder, and then drag it to the Tracks area, and choose Create New Tracks.

Now I can throw away all tracks apart from the one with my narrator audio.
