Mojave VS High Sierra
I am a little confused about the system of Mojave verses High Sierra.
When the operating system Mojave started coming up on my computer I waited a couple of weeks in January of 2019 and I downloaded it into my computer. After that I could not get into any programs I had under the umbrella of Adobe Suite CS6. This action caused me to call Apple and was told that I should perhaps return to High Sierra, which I did.
Since returning to the operating system of High Sierra, I took the suggestion, "if you wanted to know if any of your programs could run in Mojave 64-bit "Yes", to follow these instructions. I followed the instructions and went to System Information, found System Report opened this and went to Applications then selected all programs to see if they would run (64-Bit (Itel): "Yes" across from the program. Well, all three programs in CS6, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign had "Yes" across from each.
I must also state that I had Legacy Java 6 runtime in my computer while operating in High Sierra for those programs. After downloading Mojave I did not again download Legacy Java 6 runtime back into my computer to see if I could still open each program.
I just wondered if anyone had downloaded Legacy Java 6 runtime into their system after placing Mojave in their system and was able to open Adode CS6 programs.
Something else I wondered about was High Sierra indicating in my programs, found in the section of Applications after opening, System Report that the words (64-Bit (Intel): Yes appeared across from each program in CS6.
I think I should have ,while Mojave was my operating system downloaded Legacy Java 6 runtime to see if those programs would open in CS6.
Thank you for listening to what was and is on my mind. I would like to download the latest operating system that Apple offers however I would like to know the answer to my wondering about Mojave.
