Best graphic tablet for my 27” iMac with Mojave

i’m considering getting a graphic tablet to use with Photoshop. I’ve never used one before and I haven’t been able to find anything recently posted here. I’ve been reading both good and bad reviews of the Wacom Intuos Pro. I really do not want to spend $300+for what may be my first and last tablet. I was wondering if anyone here has had hands on experience and could point me in the right direction as to what tablet would work well with Mojave. Would appreciate your input. Thank you.
