Magic Mouse disconnecting on 2018 macbook pro

I got my 2018 macbook pro a few weeks ago and right away the magic mouse kept disconnecting. I just got a new magic mouse 2 and have the same problem. I've tried every solution I could find posted here and some of them worked temporarily. Have almost given up. Next step will be to get a non-apple wireless mouse:(

Well I seem to have solved the problem. After trying everything I could find online I decided I must be getting interference from somewhere. I decided to try from another location so moved to my kitchen and it seems to have corrected the problem...... even after I moved back to my original location. Have been working for several hours now and no problem with disconnect. Happy I solved the problem but still scratching my head as to why the minor change corrected it even after I moved back to the original location and reconnected everything exactly as it was.
