Magic Mouse 2 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

This has been driving me nuts for months. It will disconnect and reconnect 10 times per day with no reason. I bought another one. Same deal. New Mac Mini, same issue.

My wired mouse keeps disconnecting I have a mac mini (2011) and for the last few months the wired mouse that I have been using for years, randomly disconnects and reconnects after a random amount of time. It is a problem that persists even if I unplug the mouse and put it back in or change the USB port to any of the ones available to me (both directly on the machine and on the keyboard), or turn the machine off and on. I had assumed it was an issue with the mouse cable but I recently tried another known mouse and it had the same problem, also persisting through port changes and unpluggings. Interestingly if I plug in both mice at the same time, they both disconnect and reconnect simultaneously. It is also only a problem with the mouse not any other USB accessories. I cannot update the software any higher and considering sometimes the mouse is unusable for literally hours I need to find out how to fix it, especially since I work from home. Also it is not a problem under my Linux partition. Is there some setting or cache that I can reset or clear in order to fix this?

Anyone else have Apple Magic mouse that keeps dropping off new M1 Mac Mini?? Hi, Just got an M1Mini (512Gb) a few days ago and find that the Magic Mouse and keyboard are constantly disconnecting. Sometimes they'll re-connect in 1 or 2 seconds but a few times I have had to power-cycle the Mini. For a new system this is not acceptable. Is this issue widespread? Has Apple said they'd address it? Really bummed that I'm having this much grief with a new machine. What's the best way to either force a re-connection or stop the disconnects? Thanks

My issue I think is that I mount my Mac mini behind my monitor and for some reason its causing interference. If I move my Magic Mouse 2 closer I do not have the problems. I use a small computer desk with a slide out keyboard and mouse drawer. Apparently its enough of a conflict with signal to cause disruptions between mouse and Mac mini.

I found the answer. Turned my iPhone to Airplane mode and it goes away...

Turning my phone off allows my mouse to work. Yeesh Apple.

Yip - 2 days of no 2.4ghz wifi in the house and no Bluetooth dropouts at all.

Which is a **88er as the roof router only has 2.4ghz! Serves me right for buying cheap.

Buy cheap buy twice. Meh.

BUT at least I now know and can stop the crazy pills.

I *think it's my router - I have a WiFi hotspot above me on the roof on 2.4ghz and it doesn't transmit on 5ghz.

My next thing to test is to turn it off and use a 5ghz router only for a day or so to test.

Other than that I'm running out of things to turn off!

I do think it's some sort of interference and it comes down to finding out what it is.
