I lost the icon to take a screen shot on the iMac.

Going to SHIFT + COMMAND + either 4 or 5 does not work.

How do I bring up the icon on the dock or in LAUNCHPAD?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.14

Screenshot is in the Utilities folder. Drag its icon into the Dock.

Screen shot refused to go onto dock, but is a working icon on desktop! That works for me!

You're welcome. FWIW, it should add just fine to the Dock but it has to be to the left side of the separation line.
