connect my iMac 2007 with mini dvi output to my Apple Cinema Display 27" LED with a mini display port

I have a 27" cinema display with a mini displayport cable that i am trying to connect as a 2nd monitor to my 2007 21.5" iMac. The iMac seems to have an older mini divi output (far right). Any thoughts? I can't find an adaptor. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks

Connecting a DVI monitor to 2017 iMac? I am trying to connect an older DVI monitor as a second display to my 2017 iMac, but nothing I have tried has made it appear as a display on the Mac. I have tried DVI>Mini Display Port Adapter>Mini Display Port to USB C Adapter, as well as DVI>USB C Adapter, and neither seem to work. Is this even possible? If so, what configuration do I need?

trying second display to a Early 2008 20 inch iMac and can't locate an MINI DVI adaptor I'd like to add an additional display to my early 2008 20 inch iMac. Apparently Apple is no longer supporting the older iMacs and I'm having the devil's own time locating "how to info". What Iv'e been able to scrape up I believe a MINI-DVI to VGA adaptor would be a simple solution. Unfortunately all I seem to be able to locate are Mini display to VGA. Any suggestion where to source the former or possibly a work around? Thanks Greg

2014 Mac mini monitor connection I have a 2014 Mac mini. Trying to connect it to a 2010 24” apple LED Cinema Display. I have a DisplayPort to mini display port adapter. Can I use it to connect the two or what adapters do I need?

You need a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter

and a DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter.

Even with the adapters, resolution will be limited.

iMac (Mid 2007) - Technical Specifications

"Support for external display in extended desktop mode"

Digital resolutions up to 1920 by 1200"

The 27" display's resolutions:

LED Cinema Display (27-inch) - Technical Specifications

"Supported resolutions: 2560 by 1440 pixels, 1920 by 1080 pixels, 1280 by 720 pixels"
