Apple Music DRM
This is more of a warning than a question. I subscribed to Apple Music for one month and it decided to apply DRM to 2,000 of my songs that I had imported into iTunes from physical CDs. The DRM was associated with my email address. When I changed the email for my Apple ID, iTunes deleted all of these songs from my library and would not re-import them. Quicktime also would not play them. I searched for a third-party tool to remove the DRM but all of the one's I found required that the song be in iTunes - catch 22. After spending numerous hours trying to solve this issue I contacted Apple Support. Long and short after working with 10 different sr advisors they acknowledged that Apple Music had done this but could offer no technical means of removing the DRM. They also refused to replace my music from the iTunes store with DRM-free versions of the same songs. After much looking at backups and file copies I found a copy of my music library that I created before subscribing to Apple Music. This library had no DRM. So I fixed the issue with no help from Apple. For all of my troubles they are sending me a pair of AirPods.
