New SSD internal drive formatting problem "file system formatted failed"

Hello there,

I have a MacbookPro 13" Mid 2012. Model: A1278.

I replaced my old internal drive from HDD to SSD, got it from Crucial.

This is the SSD model I got:

Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - CT500MX500SSD1(Z).

and according to their website it is compatible with my device.

but the problem is while I am in the recovery mode and I want to format the SSD volume (disk0s2) to Mac OS Extended ( Journaled) format, in order to install the system on it, I keep getting an error message "file system formatted failed"

I tried the Repair Disk method in the Disk Utility and I keep getting another error message.

but when I format it to other types of formatting like ExFAT it formats without error !!

Please any help ?

Hi, again,

Try to format by APFS, instead of macOS extended journals.
