A friend of mine shared 40 photos with me through iCloud, and for about 3 hours the browser still says "waiting". I am connected to wifi, tried to turn my laptop on/off but it still won't load.

Your invitees receive an email and a notification asking them to join or subscribe to your shared album. Invitees using an iOS device or a Mac with OS X 10.8 or later also receive invitations in Notification Center.
