Unable to configure Data plan-iWatch series 4

All of sudden Mobile Data disconnected/removed. i have tried to contact Airtel to report this issue and Airtel failed to resolve this issue. It was working properly before 5 days back and i noticed " Watch " App is asking me to "Set up Mobile Data" . I have asked Airtel to deactivate services related to Data plan and activate the same back.

They haven't resolved this issue till now.. (11.3.2019) Any Leads

You will need airtel to remove your faulty watch’s configurations from its server in your profile. It might have got created due to their bug or your mistakes while configuring.

Dont worry. Call 121, ask for technical help from Apple Watch team for watch’s cellular setup. They will have you do below steps.

  1. Unpair your Watch from iPhone.
  2. restart iPhone and Apple Watch both.
  3. After you have done above two, airtel tech support will remove the faulty watch configuration from your profile an their end.
  4. You can then pair again by using ‘setup as new Watch’. Don’t restore from backup if any.

Hello,

Incase you have paired and unpaired your watch previously, you need call the airtel customer care who later will arrange a call back from back end team. Once you get a call back he or she will delete your previously paired data from Airtel system. Once that’s done you will need to wait for an hour then reset your iwatch. Once it’s reset the switch off your iPhone once then once restarted you will need pair your I Watch via Bluetooth and then switch your mobile hotspot sharing on and on your Iwatch switch on WIFI. Once this is done you can configure your Mobile Data on your IWatch

I had similar problem couple of days ago when my new Apple watch was paired to the iPhone but when I tried to enable cellular it was displaying the error message "unable to configure cellular plan". The ICCID under general, about was blank. I called Airtel and they took the request and escalated to the backend team. The support person from the the watch team at Airtel called me and gave the instructions, basically to unpair, switch of both devices, start the phone first, disable cellular data, then starting watch, etc,. and then pairing them again. I selected the watch to be new phone instead of restoring from a backup. It worked fine for me. Although Airtel solved my problem, this known issue and the solution should be kept on their website or a faster turnaround of less than 12 hours should be there.

Hi Vinay,

You have to talk to iWatch support team at Airtel (there is dedicated team available for iWatch) also send mail to Appellate team. as per my knowledge they may take 15 to 20 days to resolve this issue. I can suggest you to switch over to jio Network if they don't resolve with in time frame or if there is no response from Airtel support team.

is your iWatch updated to Ver.6 ? Can you try to login airtel myaccount using your credentials ! Try to pair the watch when you get 4G Mobile Data (good signal strength). You should get Welcome Prompt messeage (Airtel Karanataka) when you try to pair iWatch.

Keep sending reminder to Airtel support team if you still face this problem.

Best Regards,

SVM
