I just found an app called BeAware on my mac laptop.

I did not install it and tried to remove it and it says I can't because it is open. I didn't open it and I don't know what it is. How do I remove it?

removal of an app on MacBook air I have "WebRoot security Anywhere " installed on my MacBook Air . I want to remove it but since it is open, I can't take it to trash. I have tried to right click on the icon and click Quit but it still continues to be open. How can I close and remove it

I have an application that will not delete I keep getting a random popup on my Late 2020 Mac mini with T1 regarding malware. I know that it is a scam as it wants me to call a number...blah blah. I'm no fool! I've gone through my applications and I find a chess.app that is dates in April 2023. I do not play games and know that I didn't download it. In trying to delete it, there is no way to get rid of it. Nothing happens when I try to rename it, drag it to the trash, use terminal to get rid of it...NADA. I've opened the package to see what's there...nothing is deletable. I opened the Mini in safe mode...still no way to get rid of it. Activity monitor doesn't show it's running but I'm still very suspicious. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
