Password required for Outlook

I have a message coming up on my iPad constantly asking me to enter my Outlook password which seems to be a necessary updating request. No dialogue box appears to do so, however, and nor does the keyboard come up, so I am stumped as to how I can do this. My only options are Cancel or Edit Settings neither of which is helpful. Without entering my password I am now receiving no new emails now which is pretty disastrous. Can you help?

Another useful learning tip for you - in case you haven’t already noticed - when you are manually setting account credentials is that your Incoming (POP/IMAP) and Outgoing (SMTP) passwords are set separately for each account.

If you ever reset an email password, you must generally remember to update the password in two specific fields - one for your incoming server - and the other for your outgoing server.
