Why is my old apple user name not changed to my new username?
I’m trying to update my apps but I can’t cause my passed username keeps popping up.

Apps are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. If you created a new ID and no longer want to use the old one, you will have to delete the apps and re-purchase them with the new ID.
If you just changed the email address associated with your existing ID, sign out of the app store and back in.
