How can I export modified images from Photos at full resolution?

Im an artist and do work on my ipad and macbook. I take and edit my photos on the ipad. I mostly edit in Photos on ipad but sometimes use other apps. Then I back up the Ipad the the laptop. When I try to export from Photos to a folder on my desktop the file gets compressed significantly. I need these to be large files for printing. How can i do this?

There are many options when you export a photo - even a modified one. (Sometimes you have to click the disclosure triangle to see all the options.) You are allowed to export the full size. If JPEG at the high quality setting is still too much compression for you, you can export an uncompressed .tif.
