I have a late 2014 Mac mini using macOS Mojave and for the life of me can't find the solution to my browser. I kept thinking it was the monitor settings and messed with all those no luck so I'll try here.
Doesn't matter which one it is I just get a writer view and hard to see any of the boxes. I have two monitors and both have the issue. I brought in a 3rd monitor and same issue. here are some screen shots.

To me the screenshots you posted look normal/as expected.

You'll have to explain your problem better. The only thing I see are some white boxes on the first picture at the address /tab name but I can't tell if you did that purposely or not. If you're taking a screen shot its possible that the graphic errors you see on your screen are not being translated when the picture is taken. If I did miss it, or its just not showing in screen shots, try taking a picture with a phone/camera and uploading it.
Sorry....Correct the box where you type in is not visible. When you have to type in a code on apple security, you can see each box visible. in maps. the streets are not visible.
I had to use dark mode to least see the tabs or I have to click on a tab and it will highlight and ill know what one I'm in.
The first shot does not appear to be at the same magnification as the second shot. Have you tried going into Display preferences/color and recalibrating the display? Possibly you have the white point set wrong or maybe a completely new profile is worth trying.
here is what maps looks like...you can see the street name but the definition of the roads not there
ok did a phone shot. you can see the road name and the definition of the road. also if you look at the 1st shot you can see any of the side roads
In addition to garyfromrio linda's suggestion, also check to make sure that your Display contrast: is set to Normal in the Accessibility Display preference.
the 1st shot looks exactly as it does ......almost like a white flash so hard to read. I did try the restart but its all coming up the same.

Now I see the file photos are normal.... just I couldn't see it with the display in accessibility not set correctly.
