airplay stops when iphone goes to sleep
Airplay stops when streaming from my iPhone I have to turn off the automatic sleep function why is this happening?
iPhone X and 4'th generation Apple TV

If you are mirroring then that would be normal, as it is sending the display and requires it to remain on. If you are using basic airplay, to send the video, then it would be up to the developer as to how they implement it and fix any issues that arise.
