Wrong apple-id in App Store and I can’t change it

An older Apple-id is coming up in App Store and is asking for the password. I no longer use that id and don’t know the password. When checking, my current Apple-id is logged in and all appears to be fine. But when I try to update my apps, the old Apple id pops up and asks for the old password. Tried log log off and on, change password for my current Apple id, updated to the latest version. Nothing works.... Please help!

A request for another Apple ID password is often caused by updates to apps/purchases that were made when using the other ID. Those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
