Cannot sign in to iTunes on Apple TV due to 2-factor authentication

Using an Apple TV - model A1469

I have had to enable 2-factor authentication for my developer account and now I am locked out of Movies, TV, Music sections on my Apple TV.

I cannot log in as I get caught in a loop of putting in password, getting sent an authentication code, inputting that and being sent straight back to input my password.

Have been doing this for almost an hour now - and the past couple of attempts when I get the screen for authentication the cursor is in the field entry box and NOT the number selection, which it is impossible to navigate to.

Anyone else get this or know what on earth you do to actually log in.....?

When using 2 factor authentication on an older model you need to enter the password and code together, and there is a time limit. To make the best use of that time enter the password, then request the code, and then add it to the end of the password
