You're not going to get updates to make it compatible. The Scion brand was killed off by Toyata several years ago.
The head unit in that car was designed to interface with the old iPod audio standard that is now obsolete.
Luckily, the car is old enough that they didn't integrate any functions that are critical to the car into the stereo.
You might want to consider upgrading to a head unit that supports CarPlay. The prices have come way down over the years.

Given the date of the car it may not work with a new iPhone, particularly since it made reference to an iPod. Check with Scion.
On your iPhone go to Settings > General > About > Version and tell us what iOS version you actually have.
Is this a new model Scion? What model year? Does it have CarPlay? Does the car show to be compatible?
What happens when you try to connect? What kind of cable are you using? Have you spoken to the Scion dealer?
its an iphone 8 plus software version 12.1.4
the car its a scion tc 2011 and when i connected to the usb port start charging but the stereo said no music on ipod
Since iOS 8? That was many years ago and you are just now complaining about it?
I just bought the car. And i don’t know much about this technology.
