Will my Windows Word work on an new iPad?

I have my Windows Word on my 2011 MacBook Pro (with 14.7.3. updates installed) and am thinking of getting an iPad and wondering if Word will transfer onto the tablet, or do I need to buy Word again for the iPad as well?

You will need to download and install the iOS version of MS Word and to get full functionality and compatibility, you will need to pay monthly or yearly to subscribe to Microsoft 365.
